The Webs We Weave: Spiderweb.

by Jon Katz

The spider labors up in the far pasture, invisible and efficient, a master artist spinning in symmetry and form. She is exposed by the mist, lining her web with tiny drops, almost invisible to the naked eye, unless the sun is in just the right position, exposing the web and highlighting the extraordinary craftmanship and detail. Digital photography, sometimes scorned by the doyens of the art world, can sometimes bring us inside these worlds and reveal the spectacular nature of life and light.
