It seems sometimes that America is at war with its artists, budget-cutting and corporatizing them out of existence. At the Washington County Fair, art is everywhere, signs, colors, graphics, pennants, lights. They get away with it because it appears to be advertising, but it is unique and appealing, and says a lot about the world it inhabits. And there is art all over the place.
