Next up: Hubbard Hall, Cambridge, N.Y. Souls of animals.

by Jon Katz

On Tuesday, the “Soul of A Dog” book tour moves to the beautiful and historic Hubbard Hall – one of the nicest imaginable places to do a reading, an old refurbished opera house in a beautiful small town (I hope to move there when we sell the farm). The reading is sponsored by Battenkill Books, the people who first suggested that I write about dogs. It is at 7 p.m., 25 East Main Street, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816 (518 677-2208).
I will be bringing Izzy and/or Lenore. Both if it the weather is cool. I will read from “Soul Of A Dog” talk about the move “A Dog Year” and my forthcoming novel, and answer questions. We had a wonderful conversation at Northshire, one I hope to have all over the country. Today I am off to try and get some photos of the Washington County Fair before it opens tomorrow. Photo judging is today.
