When I am going outside to take pictures, I grab my camera bag, attach the lens I want to use, and yell “Lenore, let’s go take pictures.” Lenore runs to the door and accompanies me. When I stop and set up a tripod or camera, she lays down and she stares at me intently.
I often wonder what she must make of what I am doing – standing for a long time by a leaf, or hauling all this junk around. But she never tires of it, as I never do, and I value her company. She seems to know when I have focused on something, and then she puts her head down, and sometimes dozes. She never drifts off, or leaves me. Lenore is a working dog.
