The flower cottages of North Truro are among the most photographed and painted of Provincetown, long a haunt of artists, writers and playwrights (and photographers, also, because of the amazing light). I have rarely seen a photo of the cottages with cars, though, and apart from the name, which rew me, I loved the juxtaposition of the van and the cottage, which go together, along with the clothesline. The cottages are simple and beautiful, and it’s easy to forget from the paintings in the galleries that people are inside of them.
