The garden is full of surprises, and I was delighted by the color of BeeBalm, which I just noticed. I am not a gardener, but I am a photographer, and my new appreciation of flowers is connected to color and light. Anne Dambrowski is a gardener, and the gardens  here are really hers. She asked me last week what I wished for the garden, and I said I wished for new and colorful things to keep popping up.
  I am getting ready for two crafts fairs – next Saturday in Saratoga and Aug 8 in Poultney, Vt.  the week before my tour for “Soul Of A Dog” begins. I have to decide whether to sell my photos, and if so, how much to charge for them. I don’t really want to charge anything for them, but printing them is expensive, and they are valuable to me. So I have to think about it. I ordered a photo display cart today, which rolls around and can show up to 30 photos. Mostly, I’m excited about hanging out with Maria at the fair, and annoying her by touting her quilts. No dogs are allowed in Saratoga, but they are welcome in Poultney. Izzy and Lenore appreciate it.
  I am still mulling the energy treatment I received by my new doctor Friday. It has helped greatly, opening me up even further to the ideas of alternative treatment. I have two or three friends who are physicians, and they are very unhappy in their work. Insurance companies and lawyers have more to say about how they practice than their own instincts, and they all say that nobody much leaves their offices without a prescription for something, to protect themselves.
  I was on some medication for sleeplessness, and also some when I was crashing through the floor, and I am just about off all of it. I will be off all of it soon.
   I would not argue against anyone who wants or needs medication, but I do not want it, and am experiencing intimations of peace and other good things. Life is not predictable, never perfect, but I’d rather get to know how I feel than numb myself against the world.
