Rose and Maria check the ewes every afternoon as part of the afternoon chores to see if they are “bagging up,” that is if their bellies and teats are changing, a sign that they are pregnant. It’s tough to tell if sheep are pregnant sometimes, but this is my third go round, and tomorrow we are taking a closer look. Rose helps keep everybody in place while Maria takes a look. I like seeing these two proud and independent women.
