June 11, 2009 – Spring has been cool, rainy, but the relentless winters – accompanied by the relentless gloom – are still fresh in my mind. Have two or three things to do to be ready for winter. Got to get the rest of the hay in, have to get Ben Osterhaupt to clean out the manure around the feeders. Have to brushhog two of the meadows, as the rain and sun have caused the grass to mushroom and it’s hard for the sheep to get low to eat.
