May 24, 2009 – Since Maria has come, the farmhouse has changed. Things have vanished. The plastic bags I used as trash receptacles have been replaced by stylish blue trash cans. Tasteful vases filled with wildflowers have appeared and much junk has vanished. Blue and red cups with tomato plants and other vegetables are growing  inside are all over the porch and the back yard. A vegetable garden has appeared behind the house. The tomato plants caught my eye on the porch. First time I’ve noticed them.
