22 May

Vase, living room

May 22, 2009 –  Izzy and I are going to the West Pawlet, Vt., Public Library at 7 p.m. tonight to talk, take questions and support this and other libraries, under siege in country whose priorities seem a bit warped. I’ll be going to the Monson, Mass., library (date to come) and several others.
This morning, some hay is being delivered, first load. The black flies are nasty. Corinna Aldrich and I are taking photos for the ASA, the Agricultural Stewardship Association of Washington County, a good group devoted to preserving farmlands. Our photos will be part of an ASA calendar to be published soon. A good use of pictures. Tomorrow, heading to Ticonderoga to se and take some photos of a fencing meet in the old fort. Very cool.
Last year, when things were rough, I took some medication to help me sleep, which I didn’t do for month. I want to get off it this weekend. I’ll either sleep or not, but I want to do it naturally.
