This dairy farm is closing in less than two weeks
Banks and investment firms are starting to pile up billion dollar profits again, but no bank will extend credit to a small dairy farm, and no library is being spared savage budget cuts.
Milk prices are too low for small dairy farms to survive. Their costs are rising, and there is no credit available to them. This way of life, already under pressure, is dying. I am privileged to be able to record a part of it. This family has had this farm for half a century and the farmer is so stricken he cannot even walk into the barn. I hope to persuade him to let me take a photo of him, as it should be recorded.
