Lots of people have been hit by the recession, but family farms, always precarious, have been devastated, and not only are jobs and businesses being lost, so is a way of life. I’m fortunate to have the privilege of capturing a small slice of this. Like libraries, our culture doesn’t seem to really value the meaning and values of small family farms. Over the next two weeks, I’d like to bring some of those values to life through photos. More tomorrow.
