April 21, 2009 – More adventures from Frieda, the Love Bucket (people don’t like me calling her “Helldog,” which is an understatement). A hen wandered into her dog pen and Frieda watched it for a bit, then gave chase. Maria got in the middle and the three of them raced around the yard a bit. Frieda got a mouthful or two of chicken feathers (but no chicken) before Maria got her.
Maria reports that chickens have a lot of feathers. Good thing. Frieda has attempted to massacre most of the living things on the farm at one point or another, but so far, no kills. And the wild part is that she is really calming down. Nonetheless, she is loved and appreciated. She will get there. I’m not so sure about the rest of us.
