Maria feeding the sheep
Many afternoons, Maria, Rose and I do the afternoon farm chores. They are a bit simpler, now that the water line to the barn has thawed, and there will soon be grass, and the animals are all excited, because they get to eat. Rose goes off and moves the sheep around, the barn cats get some dry food, we look for eggs, put hay out for the sheep and donkeys, clean out the barn, check the gates and fences and always – always- find something is wrong. Still, it is a sweet time as Spring approaches, and I savor it.
