Poets, artists and philosophers have always been drawn to doors and windows, and I am coming to see why. You always wonder what is on the other side, and the door and frames themselves tell distinctive stories. We are all going through doors and windows all of the time, back and forth in and out, and we often have no idea what is on the other side, and our own passages are filled with mystery  and memory.
