January 8, 2008 – It’s snowing, of course, and blowing. I could not get to work on the novel as water problems affected the barn. I heard from friends who lost jobs, and two who lost homes. I am heading out with Izzy to do a hospice visit in a nursing home. Watching Izzy work is inspiring in itself, but it also provides perspective, a reminder of what is important. Waiting to hear word about Lenore from the vet. I am optimistic. Her stomach is one of the seven wonders of the world, and one of the strongest.
