20 November

Greeting

by Jon Katz

November 20, 2008 – Usually at noon, I go out and greet Harold, Luna and Elvis, who take a mid-day repose out by the hay feeder. Cows know how to relax, as well as eat. It is cold on the farm, and we are settling into the winter routine. I’ve been bringing apples to the cows, and they love them. Tonight, I finish off the book tour wth a talk at a hospice dinner in Albany. I’m finishing up Soul of A Dog, then onto my next book. I am eager for winter, cold and dark, but writer’s time. Still thinking about the photos I’m going to take this winter. I’ve been persuaded not to do too much black and white but more color. I am lucky in many, many ways.
