I am not a political person and am usually uncomfortable at the anger, self-righteousness, even hatred that seems to infect most political discussions I hear, so I avoid them. Bedlam Farm seems quite far from the political maelstrom, but here’s to a productive and civil Election Day, and the hope it brings a sense of calm and direction, whoever wins. Cable news is, to me, generally a plague on the civic process, and a perversion of the very idea of an information media. But I write about dogs and rural life and should stick to that. And will.
