Every morning, after our first walk, the dogs of Bedlam Farm – Lenore, Izzy and Rose – gather for their daily planning session. They discuss walks, chores, treats, traffic, the comings and goings of their odd master, the scents and leavings of other dogs and animals, and Lenore wonders about food and love, and Izzy wants to get some one-on-one attention and Rose is responsible for everything she and everyone else is doing, and for making sure it’s done right. They always greet me as I step into the road to take photos. They are curious, loving, expectant, eager for a sense of the day. They lead the lives they are entitled to lead.
