In the late afternoon, strong sun and winds

September 5, 2008 – Most afternoons, I haul the camera and tripod and dogs out into the woods. Today was a challenge, as remnants from a tropical storm had pots, chairs and limbs blowing all over the place. I decided to be up to the challenge. I got my big and fast 300 mm, and headed out into winds strong enough to keep my head bowed. I set up the tripod at three points and tried to catch the effect of a strong late afternoon sun darting in and out, and strong winds blowing the leaves and moving them. Not easy, but it was satisfying.
