September 2, 2008 – I will be offline for today and much of tomorrow, taking care of my life. I have a very lovely new thing to do in the morning, which is to sit a bit with Rose while she goes to her secret spot in the Pig Barn, and there, keeps an eye on things, venturing forth every now and then to keep an eye on the sheep. I leave the door open in the mornings now, so she can get in and out. It is the perfect spot for Rose, a mix of vulnerability and work. She is not as strong as she seems, of course, and she likes it when I sit there with her, as then, all the things she has to keep an eye on are right there. I can tell she loves it there.
