Sun cutting through the fog, blue enhanced in Aperture
June 27, 2008 — When I came outside this morning, I saw the sun beginning to pierce the thick fog that shrouded the farm these past few days. I ran back into the house, grabbed the camera, got the 16-35 mm lens and ran back out. The animals are all used to this spectacle by now, me rushing around like a fool, grabbing cameras, tripods, camera bags and switching lenses.
Tomorrow I pick up my new pickup, and that may mark the end of the lightning era, except that Paula and I are still going over insurance receipts and forms. The dogs and I took a four-wheeler ride through the woods, and I am relieved to see that all the rain is bringing the grass up around the pastures. I am breathing easier about that, although still grazing daily.
I felt this surge of feeling this morning, and I said to noone in particular, life is good. I am lucky to be living a life.
