June 25, 2008 – Goats in trouble. My goats can get in trouble anywhere, at anytime. They nose through and under fences, eat rope, gnaw on cables, satellite dishes, just about anything you don’t want them to eat, they try and eat. Today, I caught Ruth gnawing on a string that tied a temporary fence to her fence. Why? I wonder, are goats goats? They have plenty of hay, grass, weeds, why do they go like homing pigeons to the very thing you don’t want them to go to. Therein lies the wonder of goats. If you can’t laugh at them, and roll your eyes and give them their due, and muster patience, then you ought not have goats.
