June 17, 2008 – Sunny, cool. Going out to look at new cars tonight, mine is still under repair. Thinking of a small pickup. I wonder sometimes if Rose doesn’t think she is in an insane asylum. For weeks, she has put up with Lenore and Brutus cuddling and now, she has to put up with Mother the Barn Cat, who loves to go herding. Rose likes to sit up on the concrete patio behind the Studio Barn and watch the sheep, and lately, Mother likes to join her. I can only imagine Rose wondering if she has been tossed into a zoo. Perhaps she has, poor thing, but she bears it with her usual focus and stoicism.
