April 24, 2008 – Back from the Adirondacks. Got the sheep out to treat infections (photos later) and got the four-wheeler out to take the dogs for their daily run into the deep woods. It’s about a three-mile trek, all told, and Lenore usually rides part of the way behing me (too hard a run for Lab legs, and the border collies rocket so far ahead of us you can’t even see them). I go very slowly and hold on to Lenore, and halfway back I get her off and she runs alongside me and gets a good workout. Got to go see Helen and Warren and out to dinner with friends and do writing and blogging and Hospice Journal.
  After the daily ride, the dogs are shot, and they sleep for hours while I work. Nice.
