Encounter: The Jeering Gallery get’s Rose’s goat (1 of 2)

by Jon Katz

April 24, 2008 – Rose may finally met her match in the obnoxious, playful and unherdable goats. We came through their pasture on the way back from working with the sheep and Murry rushed up to play with Rose, challenging her. She was quite astonished, and there was a hilarious racing around the goat pen before the goats finally jumped up on the picnic table (see above) and taunted and teased Rose, who is the most logical and determined of creatures, who never backs down, and does not understand irony or humor or wasted activity.
She seemed to actually have some fun, though and she and goats gave one another quite a run. Round One went to the goats though I would say.
