April 16, 2008 – Who have the best seats in the house – the goat bleachers we call them – to watch sheepherding, pizzlerot treatments, grazing and other farm activities. The lovable but obnoxious goats, known as the Jeering Gallery, love to sit on the old wellhead and take in the odd behaviors of the farm. Can’t quite imagine a farm without this running commentary. They don’t do much but they watch everything.
Hospice all day today, visits in the Adirondack, two two private homes and then to two nursing homes. Two more weeks of full-time Hospice work before returning to my next book, about Rose and the souls of dogs and other animals.
