December 1, 2007 – Cold, windy. Wind shrieking all night, blew the tarp off of the round bales. The sheep are huddled up, the donkeys sniffing around as usual, impervious to almost everything but ice and rain. Lulu is, for some reason, my favorite donkey, beautiful, reserved, affectionate. She is going to be part of a nativity scene to beheld at the farm on December 23 by the Methodist Church of Salem and Hebron. Should be fun. We have everything but the manger.
