Art Harvest at the Georgi this weekend – Music, photos, fiber, concrete, poetry, puppy

by Jon Katz

November 10, 2007 – Lovely night at a Georgi Museum reception for the artists of Art Harvest – me and my photos, Maria Heinrich and her fiber art, Anthony Armstrong and his concrete sculptures and decorative pieces, and Mary Kellogg and her wonderful poetry. We talked, had cheese and wine, and listened to the beautiful music of the OTB Band of Washington County. It is a beautiful place to walk, sit and think, as the river rushes by right outside the windows.
Our works are to be shown all weekend at the Georgi, and there will be a talk Sunday at 2 p.m. (the museum is in Shushan, just off the town center behind  Yushak’s Market, and right on the Battenkill River.
I will be bringing Lenore and Izzy and Mary will be reading from her poems, and Anthony will talk about his concrete work as he is shown doing below. The show is about four friends who have encouraged one another to make and show their art.
There will be talks, music, puppies and art to see tomorrow. Talks at 2 p.m Sunday., informal yaks all afternoon, from 1 to 4 p.m.
