October 21, 2007 – Fine autumn day, crisp and cool. Got up before dawn to take pictures, visit with donkeys, walk in the woods with the dogs. Saw the sun hitting the Pig Barn, beautifully restored by Bill and Maria Heinrich, and now the heart of the farm. Training with Lenore. Her coming, sitting and staying is developing beautifully. She is a Lab, and still has a nose and mind of her own. Critical in training to not ask her to do anything you are not sure you can get her to do. Getting chewy, and teething. Rose is still in the hospital, but okay. Coming home tomorrow, sore but healthy. Might try and get to the movies later. Hoping for quiet, even spiritual day. Had a visit from Raeanne Wright, the Web designer who did this site and her husband John Yost, the filmmaker and my photo instructor. We worked on using the light meter, which was very helpful to me. Used it on this picture and the one on the Photo Journal of the sunrise coming from Vermont. Anthony came by and we had a good yak.
