October 19, 2007 – Mother the barn cat is making a big-time rush to get inside the house. She’s camped on the four-wheeler behind the back door day and night, yowling whenever I come into the kitchen. I’ve got to think about this. I have four dogs inside the house now, and I’m not sure she can make the transition from a rampaging, rodent-clearing Barn Cat into the house. The ticks are horrendous now, the worst I’ve ever seen them. Every time I take the dogs for a walk, I have to check them carefully. Myself as well.
