October 13, 2007 – Art Harvest opened with Day One on Saturday. Beautiful weather, great crowds, poetry, pictures, concrete sculptures and decorative art, and fiber works and threads. Plus cider, pies, pumpkins, music, cheese, pasta, produce and crafts. Same drill tommorrow, starting at 10 a.m., running through to 5 p.m. I will be there just about all day (cept for lunch) and talks begin at 2. Izzy and Lenore performed well as media dogs, cuddling and being cuddled. Mary read from her poetry, above, and Anthony and his associate Cail Johnstone, below, talked about their concrete artistry. Come tomorrow. It’s supposed to even nicer, weather wise, and the same crew will be there. Maria Heinrich was up in the rafters spinning (also see below) The crowd was big, loving and wonderful. Proceeds benefit Hospice.
