September 30, 2007 – Had the privilege of spending Friday night in Glens Falls, N.Y., taking pictures at the Adirondack Billiards Parlor and attending the screening of a new film, “Every Good Thing To Rust”by filmmaker John Yost, a good friend (and my photo instructor). John had a good crowd to see the movie at Trampoline Design. The movie is an original, broody work about disaster and friendship, and about the looming sense of trouble (my words) embedded in the psyches of the post-911 generation. A very special night. Congratulations to John, who, I suspect, we will be hearing from quite a bit. I like this picture of the screening. The lighting was a killer. This morning, I went to see Gretchen and John Pinkel, who breed beautiful Labs in Argyle, N.Y. There was one puppy, a black Lab, who caught my eye and ended up dozing in my lap and reflecting on the world. I thought if I had a puppy like that, it would be called Lenore, after the Poe poem.
