September 20, 2007 – We four are all feverishly scrambling to finish the works we are preparing for the Art Harvest, “Four Friends Share Their Art,” to be held at Gardenworks  (518 854 3250) October 13-14 in Salem New York. I’ll be showing and selling photographs to benefit Friends of Hospice, Mary Kellogg will be reading some of her wonderful poems, Maria Heinrich will be showing her surprising fiber art and Anthony Armstrong will be presenting several striking concrete sculptures, several with themes relating to family and childhood. Below, a link from his work “family” and a concrete countertop sample/trivet that the elves in his concrete workshop are cranking out (some may be sold or given away at Gardenworks). We are all appropriately nervous and excited. Mary has been writing poetry since she was eleven, and Anthony and Maria are producing some amazing works. In addition, I’ll be there with pictures and dogs and Gardenworks will be selling produce, crafts, cheese and pasta.
