September 16, 2007 – Sunny, cool. Paula is coming up. Emma got back into the press box at Shea Stadium (for her baseball book). Lets the goats out into the main pasture for the second day in a row. Took out two bales of hay for the donkeys and sheep. Checked the water for the cows. Minnie the barn cat reappeared after a three day sojourn. Going out to take pictures. Changing tractor plows (putting on the round bale spear).

This is Maria Heinrich’s Fiber Chair, and I think she is showing it in the Art Harvest in October at Gardenworks. If so, I might try and buy it. I love the chair and, to me, has become one of the symbols of the farm and my life here, as well as her astonishing artistry.
