July 27 – Hot, sticky. Just got back from Pittsburgh, Lexington, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Dayton and other midwestern points. Took the dogs for an ATV ride in the woods and got a joyous and raucous welcome. Long tongue showing with Izzy and Rose after a mile-long run. Best way to calm a border collie down. Emma is in the shade. Very happy to be back. Heading to Boston and New Hampshire next week.
