All Juiced Up, Three Amazon Bargains: Sarah’s Cambridge Pantry Requests: Make A Splash! Cranberry Juice, Lemonade, Apple Juice (Urgent) Buy All Three For $6.57

by Jon Katz

Today, there is a chance to make a big splash for kindness and make some embattled families smile. Three breakfast juices aimed at children: Cranberry Juice, Lemonade, and the Urgent one, apple juice.

(Above, Sarah prepares another birthday celebration for a volunteer. She makes pies for every birthday.)

These items are part of an Amazon bargain offering: $2.24 for Lemonade, $2.09 for Cranberry Juice, and $2.09 for Apple Juice. I can’t imagine spending less to do more good and give people who need a lift some cheering and happiness. All three are favorites for the children who come to the pantry for food support. Their juices are a great way to start a day.

I’m ordering two sets; it’s hard to walk away from that price and the good it will do. Sarah may get to stockpile some of the juices at that price so they don’t all disappear at the next serving tomorrow.

This is a great chance to make a big splash for good. People need to see it.

Amazon Fresh Lemonade from Concentrate 64 fl Oz, $2.24.

Happy Belly Juice Cocktail, Cranberry, Plastic Botte, 64 fl oz, (Pack of 1), $2.24.

The customers coming to the pantry for help want you to know they are grateful for the Poligrips you sent last week. They make a lot of people a lot more comfortable.

Amazon BARGAIN: Happy Belly 100 % Apple Juice, Bottle, 64 fl oz, (Pack of 1), $2.09.

The  Amazon Cambridge Pantry Urgent Wish List is accessible anytime, day or night. Click on the links here or use the green button at the bottom of every blog post. Every item on the wish list is urgent and updated several times daily.  Some people are adopting favored items and sending them when they can. Thanks for the messages; the pantry volunteers greatly appreciate them.  It’s hard and demanding work. I hope we can send some bottles of Juice Today.

The pantry kitchen has been busy for a while.

Video Of His Highness Zip: Camera Obscura. I’m Getting Ready For Pinhole Flower Photography. Zip Lit The Light

by Jon Katz

They used to call it Camera Obscura. Today, they call it Pinhole Photography. I’m Getting a Pinhole lens for my Leica; it’s coming tomorrow. That will be a lot of fun and hopefully another level of unusual but gripping flower photography.

(Please note the reflection of Zip on the top of the woodshed, classic Camera Obscurate, known in the U.S. As Pinhole Photography. I’m getting into it.

camera obscura is a darkened room or box with a small hole that projects an inverted image of the outside world onto the opposite wall. This principle predates photography and has been used for drawing, astronomy, and scientific observation back to the Chinese Emperors. I did some pinhole photography a few years ago. I’m eager to try it again.  These photos of Maria, too, of Zip in the woodshed (he loves to watch Maria haul the logs in, especially dancing across the roof) got me going. My Leica SLR can do it, too, with a special plastic pinhole lens on the way.

I called B&H Photo, my heroes and mentors, and they set up an L (Leica) mount lens cap with a hole in the center. The person I talked to has been taking Pinhole photos all of his life. I’m grateful. It’s something I will do from time to time to continue with my campaign for people to see flowers differently.

Zip put on quite a show yesterday, as he often does to get attention when people are too busy to talk to him. Maria was in the woodshed. Video by Maria, Photo also. Once again, Zip got himself to the center of the picture. He is always a bit annoyed when ignored. He loves the camera and knows how to get it pointed at himself.

Morning At Bedlam Farm. The Snow Didn’t Fool Us: Spring Is Close By.

by Jon Katz

Winter is fighting a losing battle; it’s cold, but the sun is seeing Spring. Last night’s snow didn’t fool anyone; it will be gone by lunchtime. Today, I mixed the birds with the morning sheets; each complements the other. Sometimes it helps for not having much money. We have very little saved for retirement; the stock market means a lot to many people but very little to us. I am thinking of the people who are losing their retirement money. It’s hard for me to get that out of my head. Stay calm. This is a safe zone. No politics, no cruelty.

Graceful eating.

The hens won’t come out if they see snow on the ground. No dopes.

Round two is for hungry sheep. They want grass.

The White Hen is struggling. We both see her weakening sharply now.

The dad is out looking for food.

I see you too, Bird.

Zip has discovered yet another buck to sleep in; he now has about a dozen favored places to nap and sleep (two are heated).  Prince Zipper, as I call him, has a lot of castles. He is fond of sleeping —photo by Maria.

Abstract Mystical Art Journey Far Away. Come See Iris Land, As Deep As I Could Get . Coming When Others Called Me, I Was Blind

Doing as others told me,

I was blind.

Coming when others called me,

I was lost.

Then I left everyone,

myself as well.

Then I found everyone, myself as well.”    –
