My 74 Chevy was sold last night, on the lot of a gas station in Cambridge, N.Y. for only a few days. The gas station owner said the buyers met the asking price of $3,000 and the truck, just back from two years in Colorado, will go to work on a Salem, N.Y. farm in a week or so. I admire this truck, which has character and “needs nothing.” Many newer trucks are on the junkheap but the 74 Chevy is all gassed up and ready to go. This is a truck who knows who he is and what he is. He is defying others expectations of him, and I bet he doesn’t listen to Storm Center either. Good luck, pal, I will miss you but am happy to know you are giving rebirth to life.
I was never serious about buying this truck. I don’t have $3,000 an I have no need of it. But I am happy he’s found someone who does.
