I am not a gardener, but I am a photographer, and the flowers in the Spring speak to me, radiating messages of light and love and calling out to me to love people, love the earth, love the animals on it, all are sacred. To avoid judgment, and practice compassion. Life challenges us every day with these ideas, which is why so few people cling to them. The Iris calls out to me to recognize that I am no better than anyone else, and that compassion is a faith: to be compassionate to ourselves, to others to the animals, to the world in itself. It seems sometimes that so many of these things are hurting.
