We got back to the country, and the driver told me there was a tornado warning, and I thought he must be exaggerating or wrong. But the alerts started popping up on my cell, computer and Ipad. Whenever there is dangerous weather, Rose and I go out and do a storm check – we check on the number of animals (so we will know if anyone is missing), their health and the structures. Rose doesn’t like lightning or thunder, but she is unflappable in almost any kind of weather. She gathers the sheep while I count and inspect. The grass has grown way up in the last week and we will need to get it brushhogged.
I appreciate Rose. She has been with me in so many a storm, and it is a pleasure to bring you all along on a storm check, although I’d rather the circumstances were different, and I hope nothing on the farm or anywhere else gets hurt or damaged. Rose gets it done. We’ll be back out later. Come along.
