A photographer told me once that you can take a photo of everything, if you look for beauty everywhere. And I am learning to do that. The moss is out – small stalks out before the grass and you can miss it completely if you aren’t looking closely.
Moss does not get the attention flowers get, but moss can be pretty beautiful. It grows on rocks and in damp and shady places. I used my 1800 mm macro lens for this shot, and I loved it the second I saw the sun coming up behind it. Up close, moss is graceful, beautiful. The photographer gave me the best advice I ever had taking photos.
He told me something else: it isn’t what the camera sees, it’s what the photograper sees.
