This is the second video I’ve taken, and is crude. I’m trying to shut off the sound and I hope to get better. Moving images are new to me, and it reminds me of the first days of taking photos. My philosophy is go ahead and keep at it until I get better. It’s an important element in publishing as well, as video gives writers a very powerful new way of connecting with readers. You can read my writing, see my photos and then see these creatures and people. Maria is in the shot, as is Sara Friedman, the social geek who is helping me move forward using social media.

This is a significant day for me, and for my work. I also think I really love videos. It is a completely new way to tell a story. I will mix them in along with my photos. I am not giving up still images.
