I would have thought Maria and I knew everything about one another by now, but that is not true. I learned yesterday that Maria likes to play chess, as I do. Set from Amazon arrived this morning, played three games already. It’s going to be a brawl. She’s good. More patient than I am, and smarter,  but not as wily, I think. We’ll see.
