The Rouse’s dote on their grandchildren, and Matt was on hand in the barn where the fair cows are being readied for show on Thursday. Matt is a focused eater, but he loves the camera as well, and he is quite at ease around the cows. When I lived in Montclair, N.J., I cannot imagine any of the parents we knew letting their babies within 100 yards of a big cow, let along a dozen or so. Matt has got the Rouse genes.
