Frieda looks at me pleadingly at her annual exam at the Granville Small Animal Hospital. Kiersten and Dr. Meyer checked her over, gave her shots and she is spending the night there to have her teeth cleaned and a small growth removed from her back. Frieda used to need a muzzle at the vet, and now she was very calm and just looked baleful. She’ll be home tomorrow.

Tonight, Maria went up into the pasture to check on Bartleby, who climbed to the top of the hill with his mother and can hardly be seen in the tall grass, which is being brushhogged later this week. Saw Dr. Kimball today at the Granville Health Center and he said I looked great.  Lenore went with Frieda. She wagged her tail through the shots and exam, and then went to sleep while Frieda got looked over. Lenore is nothing if not at ease.
