April 19, 2010 – The pansies are showing their age a bit, maturing. Busy day in Bedlam (does the name even work anymore?) Firewood coming for next winter. Seasons never stop, they just roll along. Got a morning meeting with Random House about publicizing “Rose In A Storm.” An afernoon meeting with my editor about the animal grieving book. Trip into Glens Falls in between to have lunch with friends. Drive to Manchester in the afternoon to sign some photo prints people have ordered from Redux, which is selling notecards and also ordering 8 x 10 prints of the notecards, sold for $50 plus shipping. I appreciate Christine Nemec who has not only encouraged my growth and development as an artist, but who has helped me find a way to get my photos out into the world in a way that is inexpensive and very satisfying to me.
I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see those notecards and prints sail out into the country to enter people’s lives. What more could any artist want? It’s what Maria loves about her potholders, bags and quilts – you have to check out her wonderful new cat potholders.
Hope to take Maria out to dinner tonight. My fiance. How curious.
