I sent my short stories off to my agent today. Always a nervous time for a writer. Sometimes the book works, sometimes it comes back. I am very excited about my move to the short story form, a good fit for me, and a leap forward in my writing head, I think. I learned a lot about the form and style of short stories and I hope to do more. Now the book goes to the agent and then the editor, and we’ll see. It’s a bit of a limbo time, but I have a lot to figure out – a wedding, my next book, getting a few animals back on the farm. I need to learn how to slow down and do nothing for a bit.
