February 17, 2010 – Four days to vacation. (Clue: It’s a Magic Kingdom). Two days ago, I put up a photo of a corner of a new handbag that Maria was working on, which she called a Button Eye Bag. I called it a Sparky Bag, because the name “Sparky” was etched on some of the fabric. She is thinking about offering a new line of handbags – dog and cat themes. (She is also thinking of changing the name of her company from Yes No Quilts to Full Moon Fiber Arts soon. I like it.)
I like “Sparky Bags” too. Maria got a record number of e-mails about her Sparky Bag, and this is the first full photo of it completed. Woof! You can see it on Yesnoquilts. I like the way she includes the dog fabric, but it doesn’t overwhelm the bag, which is a work of art. Smart kid.
