I may be figuring out this art thing. And I just learned it’s tax deductible, which is something. I am having some fun selecting 8X 10’s to sell. I am including this one of Rose seeking her Imaginery Squirrel while Lenore and Izzy wait. I see photos as signals to the world, going out.

Note: I am getting e-mail asking about photos. I don’t sell them. If anyone is interesting in seeing or purchasing them, please contact Christine Nemec of the Redux Art Gallery, in Dorset, Vt., where this Saturday’s show (3 to 6 p.m.) will be held. If you want to purchase a photo and can’t make the show, visit Christine on her website or call (802 867-4211).

I believe she is planning to put some of the photos online, and is working with the Image Loft to order more if necessary. The 8 by 10’s will not be matted or framed, so they can be sold more cheaply. Some of the larger photos will be matted and framed. If you’re interested in seeing or buying any of these photos, please contact Christine directly.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I think we are coming up with  a strong balance. I’ll be talking about photography at the show, and trying anything I can think of to make it not feel like an art show. I’ve always found them snooty and headache-inducing. Maria disagrees and suggests I just shut up about it. Maybe we’ll do a line dance.

The public is welcome. Admission is free. People are not expected to buy anything of they come.  There is no pressure about that. Maria will be on hand. Mary Kellogg also. And Izzy. We seek to have fun, as we did last winter in Greenwich. Manchester and Dorset are good places to eat and shop and walk around.
