Frieda is a Disney dog in some ways, a classic story of a wild creature who has found peace and safety. For the first years of her life, it appears she ran wild in the Adirondacks. She has some severe joint disorders and often experiences some pain and discomfort, very sensitive to the touch. About all she can take is buffered aspirin.
She loves being in the farmhouse, and sitting with me or Maria. I love having her. But she has some rough days and nights.
